CGPA Computation

The CGPA is computed in the following manner: CGPA=SumOf(Grade Points x Credits)/SumOfCredits

Where, Grade points are points against letter grades A+, A, A- B+, B, C+ C and D. Credits are only for those courses attended at this University. The grade awarded to a student in any particular course will be based on continuous assessment of his/ her performance throughout the semester. The continuous assessment system will include assessments (assignments, quiz, class test, project work/report/presentation etc.), mid-term examinations and semester final examinations. The distribution of marks is as follows:

Attendance 10% Mid Term 20% Quiz, Surprise/ Class test (5+5) 10% Assignment 10% Final Exam 50% Total 100%

However in case of laboratory courses the above distributions may vary depending upon the nature and scope of the courses.
